Lancaster

While there is no dedicated student ringing society for the University of Lancaster or the University of Cumbria, we are attempting to grow the number of student ringers in the area.

We currently practice from 7:30pm to 9:00pm on Tuesday evenings at Morecambe Parish Church, and would be delighted to welcome any students who are current ringers or interested in learning. We also ring on Wednesdays at Over Kellet. As Over Kellet is further away, if you wish to come, please let us know so we can organise a lift.

There is also ringing on Monday evenings from 7:30pm to 9:00pm at Lancaster Cathedral.

We cater for a range of abilities, from beginners to surprise major ringing. We are also happy to provide tuition for those new to ringing, in conjunction with local ringers in the Lancaster Branch of the Lancashire Association of Change Ringers.

Unfortunately, we aren’t currently ringing at the Priory, but we do ring in the surrounding towers.

If you want to get into contact, please contact m.townson@lancaster.ac.uk, and we can discuss what opportunities to ring and socialise are available in the area.
