Dumfries Ringers

Our bells were installed in 2013 and so are easy to ring. Some of the band learnt to ring in England before moving to South West Scotland, while others have been taught in the tower. We welcome anyone of any previous ringing background (including none!).

As well as our weekly Thursday evening practice we also ring on Sunday mornings from 10.10 to 11.00. On the last Thursday of each month, after practice finishes, we visit the local Spoons in Dumfries centre.

The tower is located close to the town centre. The Crichton campus is just 2 miles away and there is a bus service connecting it to the town centre. The campus is home to Glasgow University depts. University of West of Scotland depts. and Dumfries & Galloway College.
