Gloucester & Bristol Diocesan Association Church Bell Ringers are an association of change ringers covering the Church of England’s Bristol and Gloucester Dioceses.

University of Gloucestershire: Gloucester Branch & Cheltenham Branch

The University of Gloucestershire has campuses in Gloucester and Cheltenham. There is currently no university ringing society but the towers in and around Gloucester and Cheltenham warmly welcome all ringers coming to study and can provide ringing at all levels of experience. Anyone who doesn’t already ring but wishes to learn, will be made equally welcome.

Tower: St Bartholomew’s, Churchdown (6 bells, 9-2-1), Gloucester Branch…

“We have a very friendly band & all our practices end with a few drinks at our local village club. Churchdown is situated half way between Gloucester and Cheltenham so is suitable for students at both campuses.

We practice on Mondays at 7:45. Service ringing on 3rd Sundays is at 10:00 & on the 1st/4th Sundays at 17:00 during BST & 14:30 during GMT months.”

Anyone at Cheltenham or Gloucester will be very welcome at St Marks Cheltenham. Situated on the main link road the tower is easily accessible by public transport. We have a friendly and welcoming band catering to a wide range if ability. A good pub is always visited after.

We ring for Sunday Service on the 2nd & 4th Sundays of the month 9:40-10:3 and practice Monday evenings 19:15-21:00.

Royal Agricultural University: Cirencester Branch

Any towers in the Cirencester Branch welcomes students. The best places to ring would be at either Cirencester parish (12 bells, 27-1-16) or Watermoor (8 bells, 19-2-22) on a Tuesday at 19:30 (former on first Tuesday only). Sunday ringing is 09:15 to 10:00 and alternates between the two towers (see below): www.bellsgandb.org.uk/cirencester
